When people think of Obsidian Entertainment, they think of sprawling RPGs with branching dialogue options and narratives. Their next game, however, is a bit smaller in scope, both literally and figuratively. Grounded will see you playing the part of some unfortunate sunken down kids who find themselves fighting for survival in their own backyard against once mundane insects (though if you’re afraid of spiders, no worries, you can turn them off). Now we’ll get a taste of the game next month.
As announced via the official Twitter, a single player focused demo will come to both Xbox Insider as well as Steam game festival. While the game’s main feature is the multiplayer co-op feature, you can check out a good chunk of footage from the single player section through here.
Grounded will release on Xbox One and PC July 28th. The demo will run for both platforms June 8th to 14th.
