V Rising - Halloween Update

Stunlock Studios is deploying a new update for V Rising, ushering in the Halloween season with some free items and a new server preset. It’s also hosting a free-to-play weekend for new players from October 28th to November 1st.

The new server preset is called Mad Hunt and essentially randomizes the locations of several unlockables like V Blood, spells, technologies, and more. Of course, players can toggle their preferred settings on private servers if they prefer one over the other. The Haunted Nights Castle DLC pack is available to claim for free from October 24th to November 7th.

It includes two Wallpapers, Gourd Lanterns, a Stained Glass Window, Carpets, a Floating Gourd, a Standing Mirror, Skull Candles, and three different types of Pumpkins. You also get Drapes for pillars, walls, and windows; a Coffin; and a Small Stash. These can be used to customize one’s castle and are available permanently when claimed.

Those hoping for new content should stay tuned, as Stunlock promises a “bigger expansion” of the game in 2023. V Rising is currently available for PC via Steam Early Access. It sold 2.5 million units as of August 2022.
