Legendary Japanese RPG developer Square-Enix has just released a teaser site. The site is very similar to the one Kojima set up for the announcements of Metal Gear Solid: Rising(PS3, 360, PC), Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker(PSP), and Castlevania: Lords of Shadows
The countdown timer, as of the making of this article, counted down for a little over seven days. Then, in my personal deduction, there will be another timer. But, that is just a guess. If you turn up the voulme and listen carefully, you can here 8-bit fantasy music. This could only mean that they were doing another handheld adventure.
The most mysterious and intriguing part of the page is the large number four under the timer. There are many theories to this. It could mean that they are doing a handheld Final Fantasy IV sequal or side story. But, the most thought of reason is the so-called, “4 Warriors of Light”, which could be related to the band of heroes in the original Final Fantasy.
The later theory is supported by the Industrial Property Digital Library, Japan’s version of the US Patent and Trademark Office. The IPDL has released information that Square-Enix has trademarked the title, “Hikari no 4 Senshi”(4 Warriors of Light). Until July 5, we will have to wait and guess.
