Sea of Thieves Will Have FOV Slider on Xbox One; Tentative Minimum Specs for PC Released

You won't need much to go thieving on the high seas.

Sea of Thieves, Rare’s upcoming shared world pirate adventure game, will apparently be giving players on Xbox One the option to adjust the FOV via an FOV slider, Rare confirmed today. FOV sliders, while common for PC games, are rather rare on console titles; essentially, they determine the frame of view you can see on your screen. A lower FOV can often be a cause for motion sickness, especially in first person games, so it is good to see that this will not be a problem on the Xbox One version of Sea of Thieves.

For PC players, too, Rare today shared some preliminary, tentative minimum required specs for Sea of Thieves. They don’t seem to be too bad, assuming you won’t mind running the game at 720p and 30 frames per second- you can check out the specs for yourself below. Bear in mind that these may change, since the game is still in an alpha stage, closer to its completion and release.

Sea of Thieves is due to launch exclusively o the Xbox One and Windows 10 PCs next year.

OS: “Windows 10 Anniversary” (1607)
CPU: Intel i3 @2.9GHz / AMD FX-6300 @3.5GHz
GPU: Nvidia GeForce 650 / AMD Radeon 7750
RAM: 4GB
DirectX: 11

HDD: 60GB @5.4k RPM
This is for 720p@30fps+
