Despite major successes like the Star Wars Jedi series, Electronic Arts is suddenly moving away from the sci-fi franchise.
The strategy title will also launch simultaneously on consoles, a recently published job ad suggests.
The studio behind Apex Legends and Star Wars Jedi: Survivor has been hit with layoffs as part of larger cuts at EA.
Following the cancellation of the studio's Star Wars shooter, it's now being claimed that it's also developing a new game set in the Titanfall universe.
The first-person shooter featured a Mandalorian (separate from the Disney+ series lead), takedowns and AT-STs as bosses.
Recent reports claimed that the studio was developing a Mandalorian game, but EA now confirms development on the project has ended.
Players will play as a Mandalorian bounty hunter, it's been claimed, though it's unclear exactly who the protagonist is.
The title could be the same first-person shooter directed by Peter Hirschmann, who worked on the classic Star Wars Battlefront series.
The patch brings a new high contrast mode, audio ping functionality, and additional slow motion presets.
The collaboration event is from January 9th to 30th and features Materia Hop-Ups for unique benefits, 36 new cosmetics and more.
Respawn Entertainment says doing so would "pull critical resources from supporting the live game."
Fixes for creature and vehicle animations and binocular beacons not working with ray tracing disabled are also available.
"We’re working on a third and we’re in the process of doing that right now," says Cameron Monaghan, who plays protagonist Cal Kestis.
Stig Asmussen is leaving to "pursue other adventures," as per Electronic Arts. "Veteran Respawn leaders" are currently leading the team.
Players now also have the option to disable ray tracing in Performance Mode, while DLSS support has also been added on PC.
Players can earn skins for Mad Maggie, Pathfinder, Valkyrie, Octane and Caustic, and a new Reactive skin for the EVA-8 shotgun.
The revamped Skirmisher is free until the end of Season 18, which goes live on August 8th and includes a new Collection Event.
Net booking grew 21 percent year-over-year for the publisher, reaching $1.578 billion. EA Sports FIFA also saw "accelerated" YoY growth.
"We don't have anything to announce today, but we have an incredible partnership with Disney and Lucas," says EA CEO Andrew Wilson.
The port is in the "early stages of development", but performance improvements on current-gen remain a "top priority" for Respawn.
