Horizon Forbidden West - Burning Shores - Blacktide Gear

In Horizon Forbidden West, Legendary armor sets are the best outfits in the game. These outfits are crucial to your progression when attempting a playthrough on the harder difficulty settings, doubly so in The Burning Shores DLC where Aloy will encounter the powerful Apex variants of machines. The Burning Shores DLC adds four new sets to the base game’s six, as well as one additional set that is a pre-order bonus outfit.

Nora Lookout

This Survivor armor set was the exclusive pre-order bonus with the base game, and is now available to DLC players at a cost of 8 Brimshine and 2000 Metal Shards from Stitcher located in Fleet’s End.

Nora Lookout is regenerative focused with bonuses to health, medicine-making, and medicinal carry capacity.

Quen Commander

This Warrior heavy armor set is available to purchase from Stitcher in Fleet’s End for 8 Brimshine and 2000 Metal Shards.

Quen Commander applies bonuses to Resonator strike strategies, boosting buildup, damage, and blast, and lengthening the duration of the energized state.

Blacktide Quen Commander

This Warrior heavy armor set is sold for a single Metal Shard by Stitcher at Fleet’s End, but only to players who pre-ordered The Burning Shores DLC.

Blacktide Quen Commander is essentially the same as the Quen Commander armor set, just dyed black. The stats breakdown are functionally identical.

Quen Marine

This Infiltrator armor set can be bought at Stitcher’s in Fleet’s End for 8 Brimshine and 2000 Metal Shards.

Quen Marine is intended for ranged weapon builds, enhancing ranged combat through bonuses to Concentration, Deep Concentration, and Stamina Regeneration.

Quen Deadeye

This Infiltrator armor set is rewarded to you upon finishing The Splinter Within, one of the earliest side quests in The Burning Shores DLC. Speak to Theoa near the dock in Fleet’s End to get the quest. Upon successful completion, fast travel to Theoa at Fleet’s End to close the quest, then watch the cutscene. Once done, both the Quen Deadeye outfit and the Imperial Gold dye will automatically be unlocked.

Quen Deadeye is stealth oriented with some bonuses to Concentration for ranged combat.

Not only do these armor sets synergize well with certain Skill builds, but they are also aesthetically beautiful. Try to acquire them all!
