CD Projekt RED has announced a free trial for Cyberpunk 2077 for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S owners. It goes live on March 28th at 8 AM PDT and ends on March 31st at 11:59 PM PDT.

During this time, players can experience five hours of the base game, and unlike the PlayStation Plus Premium trial, it’s free. This allows for playing through the Epilogue and starting missions of the story, with enough time to run around and delve into Night City’s side quests. Alternatively, you could ride the recently added metro or push the NCPD to its limit, thanks to vehicular combat.

Cyberpunk 2077 is available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5 and PC. However, its most recent updates are exclusive to current-gen consoles. If you enjoy the trial, it might be worth picking up the Ultimate Edition, which includes game and its expansion, Phantom Liberty. Check out our review of the base game with Patch 2.0 and our thoughts on the expansion here.

While CD Projekt RED continues to support the game with “minor updates,” it’s currently working on Project Orion, the sequel. It’s in the early development stage, with Anna Mergill (Control, Fable) joining as its lead writer.
