Biomutant

It’s crazy to think that Experiment 101’s Biomutant was announced at Gamescom 2017. The open world action adventure RPG caused quite the stir with its setting, combat and numerous systems. After all these years, it’s finally out later today for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Check out the release trailer below to see it in action.

Taking place in a post-apocalyptic world inhabited by mutants, the story sees the Tree of Life under threat by four World Eaters. The player must venture to each root and defeat the World Eaters while garnering the support of different tribes. Along with a morality system for light and dark choices, there’s a crafting system for weapons, various skills and augmentations, and different mounts to use.

For more details on Biomutant, you can check out our official review here. Though the title runs at 4K/60 FPS on Xbox Series X, stability and performance-related issues mean it runs at 1080p/60 FPS upscaled to 4K/60 FPS on PS5. As for whether it will be fixed with a future patch or native support for current-gen versions will be added, stay tuned for any future updates.
