Homeworld 3 Receives New Gameplay Trailer

The upcoming real-time strategy title, which was recently delayed to the first half of 2023, showcases new gameplay in its latest trailer.

The wait for a new Homeworld game has been a long one, but at least it’s finally happening. The real-time strategy series got a new lease of life with the announcement of Homeworld 3 last year, following which we got out first brief look at its gameplay in December last year. Now, we’ve got another sneak peak.

Developer Blackbird Interactive and publisher Gearbox brought the strategy title to Gamescom Opening Night Live with a new gameplay trailer, which offers a sneak peak of some of the gameplay mechanics. In particular, the trailer shows an ambush by raiders, the tactics players can employ to fight their way through such ambushes, how enemy ships can be captured, and more. It’s a solid taste of the title, if not an entirely meaty one. Check out the trailer below.

Homeworld 3 was previously targeting a launch in Q4 of this year, but recently got delayed into the first half of 2023. It’s in development for PC.
