Sea of Thieves Maintenance Schedule Revealed, 1 Million Players in First 24 Hours

Rare releases developer update to discuss current issues.

Rare’s Sea of Thieves has proven fairly popular since servers have gone live with one million players embarking – or attempting to embark – on their own high seas adventure. The developer notes that this was 3 to 4 times more than any of the tests of beta sessions, which has resulted in the numerous issues currently being faced. Such issues include not being able to access the game, delayed rewards and achievements, gold missing and whatnot.

To alleviate this, Sea of Thieves will see fairly heavy maintenance in the coming days. On March 22nd, servers will be going offline at 5 AM to 8 AM EDT. Another round of maintenance is planned for March 24th, 5 to 8 AM EDT. The third day of maintenance will occur on March 27th from 4 to 7 AM EDT.

For more information on the current slate of issues, Rare has released a developer update. Sea of Thieves has been facing other problems since launch, like the fabled Kraken not even possessing body underwater. What are your thoughts on the game? Let us know below.
