Sea of Thieves’ Fishing Mode Shown Off in New Trailer

The upcoming mode promises lots of fish to catch with a rod or harpoon.

Sea of Thieves is getting a massive patch at the end of the month to celebrate the game’s one year anniversary. The patch will include story content, as well as PvP Arena mode. Along with all that also comes a fishing mode, and via the game’s official YouTube, developer Rare previewed the mode to give you an idea of what to expect.

The update will give you access to fishing rods and harpoons, both that you can upgrade in the effort to catch rarer fish or to grab floating objects on the ocean’s surface. It promises a lot of new ways to earn in-game cash and new creatures to catch, because you never know what you might catch in the deep and dangerous sea. You can see the trailer for the content below.

Sea of Thieves is available now for Xbox One and PC. The Anniversary Celebration patch will release on both platforms April 30th.
