Ghost of Tsushima First Gameplay Footage Shows Off Gorgeous Graphics

It seems to be a lot like Assassin's Creed: Japan, actually.

Ghost of Tsushima was the second game Sony showed off, showing Sucker Punch’s first non-inFamous game in almost a decade. The new game is a gorgeously realized open world set in feudal Japan- which we knew already, but which we got to see for the first time today. The art style is amazing, and the music seems to be every bit as great, keeping pace and adding to the presentation of the game overall.

The actual combat seems to be a bit reminiscent of Assassin’s Creed (take it or leave it), with some bullet time fueled finisher moves added to boot, as well as stealth moves. Speaking of which, there seems to be some kind of invisible stealth thing going on, and t seems like you will also have the kind of mobility that an Assassin’s Creed protagonist has to boot, with parkour options available.

What is probably a boss battle was also shown off, although it didn’t look too hot, mostly because of the jerky nature of the combat. That said, the setting was beautiful, reminiscent of Metal Gear Solid 3‘s ending, and I am at least intrigued by the setting, even if I am not sold on the gameplay just yet.

Ghost of Tushima is due out exclusively on the PS4.
