Ghost of Tsushima’s Recent Details From OPM May Have Been Inaccurate

The Official PlayStation Magazine says some of the details in their articles were from an older interview with the developers.

As the last remaining upcoming PS4 exclusive with a release date still set in stone, Ghost of Tsushima’s got plenty to live up to, and as such, any new details that emerge on the game are being looked at very carefully. Recently, a cover story on the game by the Official PlayStation Magazine revealed lots of interesting new story and gameplay-related information on Sucker Punch’s upcoming open world title- but it seems some of that information may have been inaccurate.

The Official PlayStation Magazine recently took to Twitter to clarify that there are some inaccuracies in their two most recent article about Ghost of Tsushima, which were both based on an interview conducted in 2018 as well as officially released trailer and information, and that neither Sucker Punch nor Sony had any new involvement in the stories.

They haven’t explicitly said which of the details were inaccurate, but you can probably at least narrow it down by looking at things that hadn’t been previously confirmed about the game. It’s possible – and this is just speculation – that the bit about the game having no waypoints might not be accurate.

Ghost of Tsushima is out for the PS4 on June 26, though a recent update might have indicated that the game could get delayed. Read more on that through here.
